The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has again stirred political waters with a fresh prophecy concerning Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu. In a recent interview with the Tribune, the renowned cleric declared that Adelabu, who is eyeing the Oyo State governorship seat, would not succeed in his ambition.

According to Primate Ayodele, Oyo State is already witnessing tension, especially between the people of Oke-Ogun and Ibadan over political dominance. He predicted that the people of Oke-Ogun would rise against the established political order and that Adelabu stood no chance in the forthcoming race.

“There is unrest in Oyo. Muslims are preparing for a political showdown. The people of Oke-Ogun will challenge Ibadan’s dominance. Adebayo Adelabu cannot become governor. Teslim Folarin has a chance but lacks the finishing strength,” he said.

Adelabu’s Camp Fires Back

Following the prophecy, a little-known group, Oyo State Voluntary Campaigners, reportedly backed by Adelabu, launched media attacks against the prophet. The group dismissed Primate Ayodele’s spiritual warning, accusing him of exploiting politicians for personal gain. They also alleged that he falsely predicted that President Bola Tinubu would never become Nigeria’s leader, a claim they believe discredits his prophetic record.

The group even went as far as threatening legal action against the prophet should he continue to speak against Adelabu’s political ambition.

Contrary to the group’s claims, Primate Ayodele never stated that Tinubu would lose the 2023 presidential election. Instead, he warned that Nigeria would experience severe economic hardship if the ruling APC remained in power, a prophecy many believe is already unfolding.

In one of his most viral messages, viewed by millions ahead of the 2023 elections, Primate Ayodele stated:

“If Nigerians vote APC in 2023, things will get tougher. We will suffer deeply. The economy will collapse, poverty will rise, and hardship will become unbearable. I warned in 2015, and I’m warning again.”

In 2022, he also prophesied a sharp rise in the cost of living:

“If we vote for the wrong candidate, the dollar will rise to N1,500, diesel will hit N2,000, bread will cost N800, and both the rich and poor will suffer.”

Primate Ayodele’s track record includes warnings to several political figures. Among them is former NNPC GCEO Mele Kyari, who was dismissed from office shortly after ignoring the prophet’s warning. Also, Andy Uba, who defied Ayodele’s prophecy ahead of the Anambra governorship election, not only lost but was later removed from the ballot by the court.

Final Word to Adelabu’s Team

Adelabu and his supporters may reject the prophecy, but discrediting Primate Ayodele with baseless accusations will not erase his credibility. With an extensive record of fulfilled prophecies and spiritual counsel sought across continents, Primate Ayodele’s words carry more than media weight, they carry spiritual consequence.

As the 2027 election draws near, only time will tell whose path is truly divinely endorsed.
