She made the remarks on Saturday in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, during the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-Central Mega Rally organised to rally support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

“ I have been in the Senate for 12 years. This is the best time I will see government fixing roads and building a lot of infrastructure,” she said.
The First Lady praised her husband’s commitment to Nigeria’s unity and economic growth, referring to his Independence Day address, titled From Reforms to Prosperity.
According to her, the administration is moving from economic reforms towards greater prosperity, adding that signs of economic stabilisation were becoming evident.
She also claimed that foreign exchange pressures were easing, investors were returning to the country and farmers were experiencing renewed activity. She further commended state governors for their infrastructure development efforts.
Mrs Tinubu highlighted the government’s food support initiative, explaining that it was designed to provide nutritious meals for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
She said the programme also aimed to support malnourished children by providing food and access to treatment to help them grow healthily.
The First Lady added that students were benefiting from the administration’s education funding initiatives, although she did not provide further details at the rally.
She urged APC members to take the government’s policies and programmes to Nigerians in their respective states, stressing the importance of public awareness ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Describing President Tinubu as a leader prepared to make difficult decisions, she expressed confidence that his policies would strengthen the economy and improve security.
Mrs Tinubu said the administration would continue working towards a stronger economy, safer communities and a more prosperous Nigeria if re-elected.
She also disclosed that the APC women’s wing had brought its campaign activities together to promote a unified message ahead of the 2027 polls.
According to her, the party intends to campaign on its policies and achievements without resorting to hate speech or actions that could threaten national unity.
She called on Nigerians to support the president and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
“Therefore, vote for continuity, vote for capacity, vote for prosperity, vote for the re-election of Mr President and all the candidates of APC from top to bottom,” she said.
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule hosted the rally, which was attended by governors and other political leaders from across the North-Central region.
