Lagos-based public relations expert and former Head of Corporate Communications at the defunct Skye Bank (now Polaris Bank), Mr. Kayode Akinyemi, has announced the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs. Victoria Oja Bodunde Akinyemi.
She departed peacefully in the early hours of Friday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 85.
A devout Christian, Mrs. Akinyemi was a longstanding and active member of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Iyanu, Afao-Ekiti. She served faithfully in various capacities, including as a representative of the Good Women Society and a committed member of the church choir for many years.
Beyond her religious commitments, she was a respected community leader and philanthropist. She held the esteemed title of Iya Egbe (Chairlady) of Egbe Igbotoluwa in Afao-Ekiti.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
