The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has celebrated its victories in Saturday’s by-elections. The party described the outcome as a strong endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms and Governor Uba Sani’s inclusive governance.
APC congratulated Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, who won the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency seat. It also hailed Hon. Isa Haruna Muhammed, winner of the Zaria Kewaye State Constituency, and Hon. Dahiru Umar-Sani, who emerged victorious in the Basawa State Constituency.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its State Secretary, Yahaya Baba Pate, the APC stressed that the results go beyond routine victories. According to the party, the wins reflect growing public confidence in its progressive vision and leadership style.
Opposition Stronghold Reclaimed
Importantly, the party reclaimed the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, long considered an opposition stronghold. That seat had remained outside APC’s control for more than 20 years. The victory, it said, demonstrates a major political shift.
The statement noted that Governor Uba Sani’s administration has focused on security, rural infrastructure, and human capital development. Furthermore, his bridge-building style has promoted unity. His inclusive approach has also brought marginalized groups into the mainstream of governance.
The APC expressed gratitude to voters for what it described as “overwhelming support.” In addition, the party assured citizens that the newly elected lawmakers will provide accountable and transparent representation.
Looking ahead, APC pledged that both the Tinubu-led Federal Government and the Uba Sani administration will continue working for Kaduna’s progress. They promised to deliver peace, prosperity, and inclusive growth. The party also stressed that the victories confirm its duty to strengthen democracy and sustain development in Nigeria.
