Good day my fellow Nigerians,
I write with a heavy heart to seek your support for my beloved daughter, Lady Constance Worgu, a brilliant 31-year-old sickle cell warrior and academic staff member in the Department of Foundation and General Studies at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic.
She was diagnosed with acute leukemia over two months ago at BMH and has remained hospitalised since then for treatment. However, the hospital has now referred us to Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore, India, for a Bone Marrow Transplant estimated at ₦60,000,000 (Sixty Million Naira), excluding logistics and post-surgery care.
I am completely devastated as I cannot afford this huge sum. While I have applied for a health grant from the Rivers State Government, I am appealing to kind-hearted individuals and organisations for financial assistance to sustain her ongoing treatment and to eventually carry out this life-saving procedure.
No amount is too small. I have spent virtually all I have trying to keep her alive. Please, I do not want to lose my only daughter; it would be an unbearable loss.
