Two months before a massive power outage struck parts of Europe, Nigerian cleric Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church warned of an impending blackout across the continent. At the time, the prophecy seemed improbable, but recent developments appear to have validated his prediction.
In February 2025, Primate Ayodele issued a prophecy published by several media outlets, cautioning Europe and America to prepare for a period of darkness and energy crisis.
“I see a shortage of gas in Europe which will cause challenges for the rest of the world because the price will skyrocket to a never-seen-before level,” he said. “Europe and America must prepare because I saw darkness in the nations around the continent. There will be a power shutdown for days and it will be very serious.”
He also warned of strange weather patterns and disruptions to operations across various sectors.
This week, large parts of Spain, Portugal, and southern France experienced widespread blackouts, disrupting traffic systems, halting public transportation, and forcing several hospitals to cancel surgeries. According to Euronews Portugal, metro systems in Lisbon and Madrid were severely affected, leaving many passengers stranded as trains came to a halt between stations.
While power has gradually returned, the incident has reignited public attention toward Ayodele’s prophetic message.
A Record of Fulfilled Prophecies
Primate Ayodele has garnered a reputation for delivering predictions that later materialize. Notably, he had previously warned Liberia’s former president George Weah that he would lose his re-election bid unless he followed specific divine instructions. Despite disregarding the warnings, Weah later lost to the opposition and, in February 2025, visited Ayodele in Nigeria—publicly acknowledging him as his spiritual father.
Similarly, Ayodele predicted William Ruto’s victory in Kenya’s 2022 presidential election, despite Ruto being the underdog against Raila Odinga, who was backed by then-President Uhuru Kenyatta.
