Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Supreme Council for Ecclesiastical Affairs (NSCEA) extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and supporters worldwide of Charlie Kirk, a prominent American conservative leader and unwavering advocate for faith, family, and country, who was tragically shot and killed on September 10, 2025.
Mr. Kirk’s unwavering dedication to Christian values and principled leadership inspired millions around the world. As Founder of Turning Point USA, he stood as a bold defender of traditional beliefs, national identity, and biblical morality. His legacy of courage in the face of cultural opposition will not be forgotten.
The NSCEA mourns alongside the American people, and particularly conveys heartfelt sympathy to President Donald J. Trump, a close ally of Mr. Kirk and fellow champion of Christian conservative ideals. Together, they upheld values that transcend borders—calling believers everywhere to stand firm in truth.

Our beloved brother, “Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA and a prominent conservative activist, was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was 31 years old. The shooting occurred during a public appearance at an event titled “The American Comeback Tour.”
“The shot hit him in the neck, and despite being rushed to a hospital, he was pronounced dead later that day. The suspected shooter, Tyler Robinson, 22, has been charged with aggravated murder among other offenses. Prosecutors are currently seeking the death penalty.”
