Two Nigerian entrepreneurs, Manzo Nyifamu Ogechi (Farmatrix) and Solape Akinpelu (HerVest), have been shortlisted as finalists for the 2025 Aurora Tech Award, which honors women driving change through technology.

They join eight other innovators from around the world, including finalists from India, Colombia, Brazil, and Switzerland. The award, launched by inDrive, supports female tech founders making a global impact.

Transforming Agriculture and Finance Through Tech

Nyifamu’s company, Farmatrix, is revolutionizing Nigerian agriculture by helping smallholder farmers access markets, financing, and storage solutions. Her innovation has already improved the livelihoods of over 3,000 farmers while addressing food security challenges.

Meanwhile, Akinpelu’s HerVest is tackling the $42 billion gender finance gap in Africa by providing women with savings, investments, and low-interest credit. HerVest is reshaping financial access, ensuring more women-owned businesses can thrive.

Global Recognition for Women in Tech

Aurora Tech Award head, Isabella Ghassemi-Smith, describes the award as more than recognition, it’s a launchpad for female entrepreneurs building the next generation of billion-dollar tech companies.
