Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Bernard Tyozenda Ortom, the younger brother of former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
In a heartfelt message conveyed through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Wike described Bernard’s death as a painful loss, offering prayers for his soul and strength for the grieving family.
Wike Encourages Ortom to Find Strength in Faith
“The news of Mr. Bernard Tyozenda Ortom’s passing came as a great shock to me. I can only imagine the sorrow and pain that my friend and brother, His Excellency Dr. Samuel Ortom, and his family are going through at this difficult time,” Wike stated.
The minister urged the bereaved family to remain strong, finding solace in faith and the understanding that life and death are within God’s divine will.
“As painful as this loss is, I encourage you to draw strength from God, who alone grants life and takes it at His appointed time. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but in moments like this, we must lean on faith for comfort,” he added.
Wike extended his condolences to the entire Ortom Adorogo family in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, reassuring them of his thoughts and prayers.
“On behalf of my family, friends, and associates, I commiserate with you over this heartbreaking loss. I pray that God, in His infinite mercies, grants you and your family the fortitude to bear this irreparable tragedy,” he concluded.
