In celebration of World Water Day 2025, Rite Foods Limited, a leading food and beverage company, has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and community welfare by distributing Bigi Premium Table Water to essential workers across Lagos. The initiative highlights the company’s dedication to ensuring access to clean and safe water while appreciating the efforts of those who keep the city running.

From security personnel and traffic wardens to street sweepers and road safety officers, Rite Foods provided much-needed hydration at high-traffic locations, including Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja Underbridge, Obafemi Awolowo by Allen, Kudirat Abiola Way, LTV Traffic Light, Adax Mall Traffic Light, Acme Junction, Ikosi Road Junction, Ojodu, and Berger Underbridge.

Water is Life, Says Rite Foods

Speaking on the initiative, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods Limited, emphasized the significance of water in everyday life.

“Water is life. It is the most essential necessity and a key ingredient in our products. As we mark World Water Day, we want to ensure that those who tirelessly serve our communities stay hydrated. At Rite Foods, giving back to society and raising awareness about hydration, wellness, and water conservation is a core value,” he stated.

World Water Day 2025: A Call for Glacier Preservation

Observed annually on March 22, World Water Day aims to raise awareness of global water challenges and drive action toward sustainable water and sanitation solutions. The 2025 theme, “Glacier Preservation,” underscores the importance of glaciers in sustaining the world’s water cycle, as nearly two billion people rely on them for drinking water, agriculture, and energy production.

With climate change accelerating glacial melt, urgent action is needed to curb carbon emissions and implement local adaptation strategies to protect this vital resource.

A Refreshing Gesture Amidst the Heat

One of the beneficiaries of the Bigi Premium Drinking Water giveaway expressed gratitude, stating:

“With the scorching sun and intense heatwave, this was truly refreshing. Having access to a premium brand like Bigi made a big difference.”

Renowned for its crisp, pure, and refreshing taste, Bigi Premium Drinking Water is a trusted hydration companion, embodying premium quality, unmatched purity, and absolute freshness.

Commitment to Sustainability and Public Health

Beyond hydration, Rite Foods Limited continues to champion environmental sustainability, public health, and social impact. Through this initiative, the company not only supports hardworking members of society but also reinforces the importance of clean and accessible water for all.
