Fidelity Bank Plc has provided food relief to more than 1,500 residents in Kabuga, Kano State, to support them during Ramadan. The bank partnered with Misnoory Foundation to distribute essential food items to widows, children, and low-income families in Dala Local Government Area.

Fidelity Bank’s Commitment to Fighting Hunger

At the event, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brands and Communications at Fidelity Bank, emphasized the bank’s dedication to social responsibility.

“We are committed to supporting vulnerable communities and reducing hunger. The Fidelity Food Bank initiative aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 2, which aims to achieve zero hunger,” Nwagboh said.

Since April 2023, the initiative has distributed over 150,000 food packs across Nigeria. The latest outreach in Kabuga focused on helping families during the Ramadan fasting period. By ensuring that essential food supplies reach those in need, the bank aims to ease the burden of fasting individuals and promote communal well-being.

Misnoory Foundation Recognizes Fidelity Bank’s Impact

Maryam Isa Inuwa, Founder of Misnoory Foundation, praised Fidelity Bank’s continuous support.

“Fidelity Bank plays a key role in our humanitarian efforts. Their sponsorship allows us to reach more people in need. Many struggling families rely on these donations to get through difficult times,” she said.

The Misnoory Foundation has collaborated with Fidelity Bank on several initiatives aimed at poverty alleviation and social support. Through this partnership, both organizations have successfully impacted numerous communities by providing food, medical aid, and economic empowerment programs.

Fidelity Bank Expands Its Community Support

Fidelity Bank serves over 8.5 million customers through digital platforms, 255 business offices, and its UK subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited. The bank has received multiple awards, including recognition as Nigeria’s Best SME Bank by Euromoney in 2023.

By expanding its food relief efforts, Fidelity Bank continues to make a meaningful impact, offering hope and essential support to those who need it most.
