Imagine pioneering a breakthrough so revolutionary that the world only catches up more than half a century later, yet your name remains largely unrecognized. This is the story of Professor Felix Oragwu, a brilliant scientist who led Biafra’s Research and Production (RAP) team during the Nigerian Civil War.

Amidst war and economic blockade, Oragwu and his team achieved what seemed impossible. They developed the deadly Ogbunigwe bomb, but perhaps their most astonishing feat was processing palm oil to power a jet aircraft. In a time of extreme scarcity, Biafra turned a local resource into aviation fuel, an achievement that should have made global headlines.

Recognition Denied, Legacy Forgotten

Yet, after the war ended, history buried his contributions. Decades later, Indonesia is being hailed for successfully using palm oil to fuel an aircraft, an innovation Oragwu and his team had already mastered 56 years ago.

On March 22, the forgotten genius turned 91. His birthday is not just a personal milestone but a moment for the world to reflect on the brilliance and ingenuity that went unrecognized.

The founder of PENTALK Media also honored Felix Oragwu for his unforgettable contributions to history, emphasizing the need to recognize those whose work drives real progress.

Professor Felix Oragwu, your legacy deserves to be told. It’s time history gives you the credit you have long been denied. Let’s share his story and ensure his contributions are never forgotten.
