Prophets are not just sent to their church members; they are sent to nations, and this is why, when people think some prophets do guesswork because they talk about subjects they are not involved in, I laugh.

Prophets don’t need to have an idea about anything before speaking about it; they don’t need to be given information before coming up with their prophecies; the only thing they need is a divine signal from God, the one who knows it all, and that settles it.

Prophecies direct events; events don’t direct prophecies. Prophecy is what everyone needs before embarking on any project; it is not at the end of the project that prophecies would come because they are meant to direct and warn their recipients.

While it may be true that there are some prophets who wait to study the situation before prophesying, we also have some whose prophecies are studied before any situation arises; among those prophets is Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.

He has been described as a political prophet by many, even though that is not true; politics is just one of the many subjects God has given Primate Ayodele a prophetic authority over, but to be called such means that in the political affairs of nations, there is no way Primate Ayodele will not be referred to.

In 2022, before the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, Primate Ayodele became the talk of the town till the election ended because he boldly stated that another APC government would lead Nigeria to more trouble. The most popular statement in his prophecy was where he said Nigeria would witness a ‘harder, harder, hardest’ economic situation.

The prophecy went round the country, with supporters of the ruling party calling him names, describing the prophecy as false, and in the end, we all know the actions of the current administration that have led to serious hardship and hunger in the land. Many of those who supported APC in 2023 have turned against the party because things didn’t go as expected; the words of the prophet eventually came to pass.

This is exactly how a prophet speaks. Every Nigerian expected that Tinubu’s government would be economically better than Buhari’s based on his antecedents in Lagos state, but a prophet who has seen beyond what everyone around saw, who saw beyond the antecedents, and saw beyond the present day, revealed that this was going to happen, as true to his words, Nigeria is currently at the stage of the hardest economic hardship.

We are currently preparing for another round of elections, which will happen in 2027, and while the opposition is preparing to overtake the ruling party, Primate Ayodele, some months ago, moved away from who would win or lose to reveal the challenges that opposition parties would face.

He has been talking about the parties in the election lately, but there is a particular one he said when the main opposition party, ADC, was newly formed. It didn’t make so much sense initially because there was no situation to tie it to, but the recent legal challenges in the party have brought Primate Ayodele’s prophecy to the limelight again.

In his words, during a live service, he mentioned that one of the things that ADC would face would be several court cases. He stated that the ruling party will orchestrate it to finish the opposition party. He then warned the party of court cases that they may not win. He reiterated that judgment would be an issue for them.

These were his words:

“One of the things that will weaken the opposition, especially ADC, PDP is out of this race completely, regardless of whatever step they want to take, but ADC, they will use the court to finish them. Either they like it or not, they should be expecting court cases that they may not win. That area will weaken opposition; Judgement.”

The current state of the ADC, up until yesterday, simply mirrors the prophecy of Primate Ayodele. While the party was preparing for the Supreme Court verdict yesterday, another court case at the federal high court nullified the Congress’s conduct some weeks ago. It currently has another high court case to determine the leadership of the party; all pointing to the fulfilment of Primate Ayodele’s prophecy.

All of these happenings feel like Primate Ayodele’s prophecies are controlling them, and that’s how a prophecy should be, not the other way round.

This is also a call to other political parties and even the ADC not to relent its efforts by following the prophetic warnings of Primate Ayodele from the beginning to the end.
