Africa’s most consistent filmmaker, Ambassador Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as he marks one year in office. Imasuen, fondly called DGUVNOR, commended the governor’s impactful leadership over the past 365 days, describing his tenure as one characterized by vision, commitment, and genuine efforts toward repositioning Edo State for sustainable growth and development.

In his congratulatory message titled “Congratulations on Your One Year in Office,” the veteran filmmaker praised the governor’s calm yet result-driven leadership style, noting that his administration has continued to demonstrate clarity of purpose and sincerity in advancing the welfare of the people.

The letter reads:

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ONE YEAR IN OFFICE

I wish to personally congratulate you, Your Excellency, on the occasion of your first anniversary in office as the Executive Governor of Edo State. Within this short but impactful period, your administration has demonstrated clear instinct and genuine effort toward repositioning Edo for growth and development.

It is refreshing to see your dedication to good governance, your calm yet focused leadership style, and your commitment to the welfare of our people.

As a proud son of Edo and one deeply invested in the cultural and creative advancement of our state, I commend your continued support for initiatives that promote Edo’s heritage, tourism, and the arts.

May this milestone mark the beginning of greater achievements and enduring legacies for our dear state under your leadership.

Congratulations once again, Your Excellency.

Ambassador Lancelot, who is currently preparing for a grand celebration marking his 30 years behind the camera, stands as one of Edo State’s and Africa’s finest creative exports. Over the decades, he has not only elevated Nigerian cinema through his groundbreaking films but also promoted the cultural identity of the black race on the global stage.

As Edo State continues to progress under Governor Okpebholo’s administration, Imasuen’s message reflects the shared optimism of many indigenes who believe in the state’s potential for transformation under visionary leadership.
