The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, has commended Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for his support during her nomination for a federal appointment and for his transformative leadership across the state’s sectors.
Ambassador Ojukwu, who previously served as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, expressed her appreciation during a courtesy visit to Governor Soludo on Sunday, June 1, at the old governor’s lodge in Amawbia. She was accompanied by a delegation of stakeholders from Nnewi.
According to Adichie Izuchukwu, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on New Media, Ambassador Bianca expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for his invaluable support and thoughtful guidance during her nomination as a federal minister, up to the present moment.
She affirmed that Governor Soludo has always given her the necessary backing throughout the years and thanked the governor for championing the activities of APGA, even in difficult times.
In his remark, Governor Soludo stated that Ambassador Bianca merited the ministerial appointment, considering her experience as a former ambassador, training, and that her situation was like a round peg in a round hole, fit for the position. “We are working together as progressives, we are one,” the governor avowed.
The governor, in his infrastructure and transformation drive, is turning Anambra into the country’s Dubai-Taiwan Silicon Valley.
This has been commended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who asserted that Governor Soludo has demonstrated the same intellectual excellence that was evident in him during the banking consolidation era when he was the erstwhile Governor of the nation’s Central Bank, with the transformation in the area of education, health, human capital development, transportation, innovation, security, agriculture, among others.
