Nigerian travel content creator Alma Asinobi is on a record-breaking mission to become the fastest person to visit all seven continents. She is attempting to beat the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Time to Visit All Seven Continents, currently set at 2 days and 16 hours by Johnny Cruz Buckingham in February 2025.
With over 30 countries already under her belt, Alma embarked on this intense journey on March 15, aiming to complete it in just 60 hours. Now, with six continents down and one more to go, she is facing a high-stakes battle against time, navigating airport delays, unexpected route changes, and passport issues.
Alma’s Record-Breaking Journey So Far
Antarctica: The countdown began the moment she took off from King George Island, one of the few snow-free areas of the frozen continent.
South America: Landed in Chile at 23:10 GMT, proudly waving the Nigerian flag at a local monument.
North America: Arrived in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, pushing forward despite a tight schedule.
Europe: Reached Spain, but a delayed flight from North America threw her itinerary off track. “Intercontinental wahala,” she called it.
Africa: Originally planned to land in a different African country, but last-minute passport check-in issues forced her to reroute to Cairo, Egypt instead.
Asia: Another setback in Dubai, where she was held up and missed her flight to Perth, Australia. She quickly adjusted and rerouted to Sydney instead.
Now, with just one continent left, Alma Asinobi is racing against the clock, determined to make history.
