- Nigerian Youth Conveyance (NYC) Demands President Tinubu Fulfill Promise of National Youth Conference
The Nigerian Youth Conveyance (NYC) has issued a respectful reminder to President Bola Tinubu to fulfill his promise to convene a national youth conference. The pledge, widely reported by ThisDay Live and other national outlets, was made on October 1, 2024.
According to the NYC, the proposed 30-day youth conference holds significant potential to catalyze national restructuring, youth development, and empowerment. The group believes the initiative could address pressing concerns facing young Nigerians and foster meaningful dialogue between the government and the youth.
The NYC commends President Tinubu for recognizing the importance of engaging with the youth and providing a platform for their voices to be heard. We believe that this conference would be a significant step towards harnessing the energy and creativity of Nigerian youth to drive national development.
However, we are concerned that the conference has yet to take place. As a reminder, we urge the President to fulfill his promise and ensure the timely organization of this crucial event. The NYC is eager to participate and contribute to the conference’s success.
