Other guests included Chief Sir Emeka Offor, chairman of Chrome Group; retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Sadiq Abubakar; DIG Tijani Baba (Rtd); DIG Dan Kwara (Rtd); and members of the National Assembly.
Three serving Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, Ekene Onwuemeelie, Isiyaku Abubakar and Suleiman Mohammed, also attended the event.

The launch marked Mba’s transition into legal practice following more than three decades of service in the Nigeria Police Force. During his police career, he held several positions involving public communication, training, administration and institutional leadership.
Speaking at the event, Mba said he established the law firm to continue contributing to society by applying his experience in policing, legal training and public service.

He said his years in the police force had equipped him with experience in leadership, discipline, conflict management and the administration of justice, which he intended to bring to his legal practice.
Mba also described law as a means of protecting rights, resolving disputes and promoting confidence in public institutions. He said his firm would focus on client trust and professional conduct.

The retired police chief left the Nigeria Police Force in March 2026 after 34 years of service, retiring at the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
He served three times as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), a role that placed him at the centre of police communication and public engagement. He also served as Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State and Commissioner of Police in Ogun State.
As a member of the police force’s management team, Mba was responsible for the Department of Training and Development, where he contributed to the professional development of police personnel.
His transition to legal practice follows an academic background in law. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Lagos and later attended the Nigerian Law School, where he received an award.
He subsequently earned a Master of Laws degree from the University of Dundee in Scotland, graduating with distinction. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002.
Mba also served internationally as a member of Nigeria’s police contingent to the United Nations Mission in Liberia between 2006 and 2007. He received a United Nations Medal for his service on the mission.
The establishment of the law firm marks a new phase in Mba’s professional career, following his retirement from active policing.
