Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to handle tensions involving Nyesom Wike with caution. He described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as a “political bulldozer” who can’t be ignored.

Fayose made these comments during an interview on Politics Today, aired Friday night on Channels Television.

“Wike is like a bulldozer,” Fayose said. “You either manage him or stay out of his way. When someone tells you they’re coming to your house and shows up, know there’s trouble coming.”

He urged PDP governors to avoid further conflict and find a peaceful solution. According to him, ignoring the signs could lead to serious internal damage.

“We must tread carefully,” he added. “I haven’t seen Wike recently, but the warning signs are clear.”

Fayose also took a firm stand on the 2027 presidential race. He said he would not support the PDP if the party fields a northern candidate.

“If PDP chooses a northern candidate in 2027, I will oppose the party,” he stated. “This is about fairness and justice.”

In addition, Fayose criticized former President Muhammadu Buhari. He blamed him for Nigeria’s current problems.

“I warned Nigerians about Buhari,” he said. “They told me to let him govern. Now he’s gone, and the country is suffering. What more proof do you need?”
