Re: The Carpenter’s Church, Port Harcourt, Mourns the Passing of Pastor Nkechi Ene
The Carpenter’s Church in Port Harcourt has announced the passing of its presiding pastor and spiritual mother, Pastor Nkechi Ene, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The church confirmed the heartbreaking news in an official statement released by Pastor Sola Akinwale on behalf of the congregation.
It was reported that, “Pastor Ene had just returned to Nigeria after a successful and extensive ministry trip filled with miracles, testimonies, and divine encounters, but experienced a sudden health crisis while in Lagos.”
The report further states: “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of the revered servant of God, Pastor Nkechi Ene, Presiding Pastor of The Carpenter’s Church, Port Harcourt. This loss has sent shockwaves throughout the body of Christ and the broader community, mourning the departure of a spiritual giant whose impact will be deeply felt for generations.”
The Carpenter’s Church further described Pastor Ene as “one of the great generals of God in our generation, one who lived and taught the undiluted Word of God, danced with the Holy Spirit, and by precept and example taught others to do the same.”
Bishop Professor Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, a respected Christian leader and pastor, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and the entire congregation of The Carpenter’s Church. In a statement, she described Pastor Ene as her sister in Christ, a woman of unwavering faith, dedication, and commitment to the Kingdom of God.
“Pastor Nkechi Ene’s life was a shining testament to her unshakeable devotion to God and her passion for spreading the gospel,” She said. “Her legacy of love, compassion, and service will continue to inspire and guide us. Bishop Adesanya-Davies prayed for the family, particularly Bro. Emeka Ene, their daughters Zoe, Chloe, Tracy, and Osi, her siblings, as well as as her mother, Ma. Mercy Chijioke, during this difficult time. “May the Lord’s comfort, peace, and presence envelop them as they grieve the loss of their beloved mother and spiritual leader. May the memories of Pastor Nkechi’s love, laughter, and legacy bring solace and strength to their hearts.”
