For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. — 2 Corinthians 13:8

NO, FFK Is Not Spot On On This!!!
With utmost respect to my colleague in the pen, Idang Alibi, I read his article titled “FFK is Spot On On This” with deep concern. While I appreciate his eloquence and his right to express his views in defense of Nigeria’s leadership, I feel compelled, not out of anger, but from a place of spiritual conviction, to respond with truth, guided by love and scriptural discernment.

The attempt to discredit the United States of America and Israel, branding them as “mischievous” or “sponsors of division,” is deeply erroneous and spiritually dangerous. These nations, though imperfect like all others, have stood historically as Defenders of the Christian Faith, upholders of biblical values, and voices for persecuted believers worldwide.

1. The USA and Israel: Instruments in God’s Redemptive Plan:

Let it be known that God uses nations as vessels for His purpose. America’s foundational creed — “In God We Trust” — was not an accident. Israel’s rebirth in 1948 was not a coincidence. These are divine moves in fulfillment of prophecy:

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.” — Psalm 33:12

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” — Genesis 12:3

When nations like the USA rise to condemn persecution of Christians in Nigeria or elsewhere, they are not meddling — they are obeying God’s moral call to defend the weak and speak against evil.

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed.” — Proverbs 31:8-9

To dismiss such defense as “sponsored propaganda” is to close our eyes to the cries of millions of Nigerian Christians slain, displaced, and silenced under the weight of jihadist violence and systemic negligence.

2. The Reality of Christian Persecution Cannot Be Denied:

Contrary to Mr. Alibi’s assertion that “victims are not carefully selected,” empirical evidence and countless eyewitness reports prove that Christians in Nigeria have been specifically targeted — in churches, villages, and schools. To claim otherwise is to insult the blood of the martyrs whose cries ascend daily before the throne of God.

“When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony they held.” — Revelation 6:9

When Senator Ted Cruz, Congressman Chris Smith, and other American defenders of faith speak out, they echo this divine outcry — not out of political manipulation but prophetic compassion.

It is written:

“Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them.” — Hebrews 13:3

The USA’s advocacy against the genocide of Christians in Nigeria is not a campaign of division; it is a call to conscience.

3. Silence in the Face of Evil Is Complicity:

Mr. Alibi condemns America and Israel for their stance but praises Nigeria’s silence on global injustice. Yet, silence is never neutrality — it is participation. As Dietrich Bonhoeffer warned during Nazi tyranny, “Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

The Scriptures agree:

“If you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place… and who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14

When American Christians rise to defend Nigerian believers, it is because God has positioned them “for such a time as this.”

4. Misplaced Blame and False Equivalence:

To accuse the USA or Israel of “arming Boko Haram” or “seeking revenge” is not just speculative — it is dangerously misleading. Boko Haram’s rise is the result of Nigeria’s internal corruption, failed governance, and moral decay, not the foreign defense of persecuted Christians.

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” — Proverbs 14:34

It is time for Nigerian leaders to look inward — to repent, reform, and restore integrity to governance — instead of vilifying those who shed light on our darkness.

5. Christian Solidarity Transcends Borders:

The Body of Christ is one — across continents and cultures. When America and Israel speak for Nigerian Christians, they do so as members of the same divine household.

“There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called.” — Ephesians 4:4

To reject their voice is to reject the very principle of Christian brotherhood. Our true unity is not in political silence but in spiritual solidarity against evil.

6. Prophetic Call to Gratitude, Not Bitterness:

Nigeria must thank God for the USA and others who still defend the cross, even as their own societies wrestle with moral decline. For many nations today deny Christ publicly; yet America still bears remnants of that light.

“The light shines in darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

Let us not curse the lamp that still burns — even if dimly — for our sake.

Conclusion:

Stand for Truth, Stand with the Faithful

As a Bishop and servant of the Gospel, I must affirm unequivocally that the USA Defenders of the Christian Faith stand on the right side of history and scripture. May the Almighty God continue to bless them.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.” — Isaiah 5:20

Those who stand for truth, justice, and the defense of Christians are not our enemies — they are our allies in God’s eternal mission. Let Nigeria be humble enough to learn, discerning enough to repent, and bold enough to act.

A Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for nations and leaders who still defend the cause of Christ. Strengthen those who speak truth in love. Expose every lie and manipulation that seeks to silence the suffering Church. Let righteousness reign in Nigeria, and may Your truth prevail across the earth.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
