PORT DICKSON – A 39-year-old woman died this morning after falling out of a moving car and getting hit by a tanker at KM26 Jalan Lukut-Sepang.

According to Port Dickson District Police Chief Supt Maslan Udin, the woman died on the spot from severe head injuries.

Investigations show the Perodua Myvi’s right rear door suddenly opened while the car took a curve. The woman fell out and landed in the opposite lane, where a Volvo tanker struck her.

Her 34-year-old husband, who was driving, and their five-month-old baby seated in front were unharmed. The tanker driver also escaped injury.

Maslan confirmed both vehicles had valid insurance and road tax. The husband tested negative for drugs. Police have obtained dashcam footage from the tanker.

Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. So far, no criminal element has been found.

Maslan urged drivers to check and lock vehicle doors, especially when carrying passengers.

Motorcyclist Dies in Red-Light Crash

Just after midnight, a 20-year-old motorcyclist died when a van hit him at a traffic light along Jalan Persiaran Senawang 1, Paroi.

Seremban District Police Chief ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the victim died instantly from severe head injuries.

The motorcyclist, riding a Yamaha Y15ZR, was heading through the green light. A Toyota Hiace van coming from Senawang ran a red light and hit him.

The van driver, 44, and his 20-year-old female passenger were unhurt. The crash occurred as they travelled toward Bahau.

Van Driver Arrested After Fatal Collision

Police arrested the van driver to assist in the investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Authorities sent the victim’s body to Rembau Hospital for an autopsy.

ACP Hatta urged witnesses or anyone with information to contact Inspector Tiew Chuan Jie at 014-9668399 or visit the nearest police station.
