Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Hans Essaadi—represented by the Corporate Affairs Director, Mr. Uzodinma Odenigbo—reaffirmed the company’s enduring commitment to supporting the educational sector.

“This is more than just a competition. It is a national movement to honour the selfless service of our teachers who shape the future of our nation,” Essaadi said. He expressed gratitude to the sponsors—Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Air Peace, and First City Monument Bank (FCMB)—for their continued support.

He also acknowledged the unwavering contributions of key educational partners including the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), and the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), crediting them for the competition’s credibility and growing national reach.

On her part, Sarah Agha, Marketing Director at Nigerian Breweries Plc, highlighted the competition’s alignment with Maltina’s brand values.

“At Maltina, we believe in spreading happiness, and who deserves it more than our teachers—the quiet heroes nurturing our children’s futures?” she said.
