The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Lagos, has conducted its third quarter 10 kilometre route march, reinforcing the Centre’s commitment to physical fitness, endurance and discipline among military personnel.

The exercise brought together personnel of the Centre in a physically demanding march designed to enhance stamina, build endurance and sustain the level of physical preparedness required for effective military service.

The route march was conducted under appropriate supervision, with participants demonstrating resilience and commitment throughout the exercise.

Addressing the personnel at the conclusion of the exercise, the Commandant of NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ignatius Ilo, commended them for their participation and determination.

Ilo stressed that physical fitness remained essential to the wellbeing and operational effectiveness of military personnel, urging officers and soldiers to make regular exercise an integral part of their daily routine.

He said the responsibility of protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity required personnel to remain physically fit, mentally alert and steadfast in the discharge of their duties.

The Commandant also emphasised discipline as a fundamental attribute of the military profession, charging personnel to sustain high standards of conduct both within and outside the Centre.

He urged them not to regard the quarterly route march as an isolated fitness activity but as part of a continuous commitment to maintaining operational readiness and personal wellbeing.

Ilo further charged the personnel to remain committed to the defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity and the protection of the civil populace, stressing that their discipline, fitness and dedication remained vital to building a safe and secure country.
