Arik Air Opens Job Vacancy for Drivers – SSCE Holders Encouraged to Apply

Arik Air has announced a new job opening for the position of a driver, welcoming applications from candidates with a Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or General Certificate of Education (GCE).

The airline made the announcement through its official social media platforms, highlighting the key requirements and responsibilities for the role.

 

Eligibility and Requirements

To qualify, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting company personnel, passengers, and goods while ensuring vehicle maintenance and handling administrative tasks when not driving.

 

In its statement, Arik Air specified:

“Arik Air Limited (In Receivership) is seeking to hire a Driver with an SSCE/GCE and a valid Driver’s License. A minimum of five years’ experience as a driver in a similar industry will be an added advantage.”

Job Responsibilities

The appointed driver will be responsible for:

Safely transporting passengers and company property to assigned destinations.

Operating company vehicles such as minibuses, pickup vans, or other light goods transport.

Assisting passengers, including those with mobility challenges.

Conducting routine maintenance checks and keeping vehicles clean.

Maintaining trip records and adhering to company transport policies.

 

Performing administrative tasks when not driving.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum SSCE/GCE qualification.

In-depth knowledge of Nigerian road networks.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Fluent in English (both reading and writing).

Well-organized and professional appearance.
