In a significant boost to infrastructure in Anambra State, Governor Charles Soludo has completed the long-neglected 16.5km Nza Ozubulu-Ukpor Road in Ekwusigo Local Government Area. The road, once plagued by erosion and security challenges, is now fully rehabilitated, bringing relief to residents and commuters.

Community Leaders Applaud the Governor

Community leaders have praised Soludo for keeping his word, describing him as a leader who delivers on promises. Many recalled how past administrations used the road project as a campaign tool but failed to act.

“Other governments used this road for their campaigns but abandoned it afterward. Governor Soludo came in, made a promise, and delivered it. We now have a leader who keeps his word,” said Ugochukwu Eze, a prominent community leader.

Security and Economic Impact

Eze also highlighted the security improvements, stating that the once-dangerous road, previously a hideout for armed robbers, is now safe for travelers.

“This road used to be a nightmare, but now people can move freely between Anambra and Imo State. Commercial drivers are using it, and businesses are thriving again,” he added.

More Road Projects Under Soludo’s Administration

The Nza Ozubulu-Ukpor Road is one of several road projects completed under Soludo’s leadership. Recently, he also delivered:

The 2.8km Nawfia Road in Njikoka Local Government Area, linking the Awka-Onitsha Old Road to the Expressway.

The 2.62km Bank Road in Nnewi, which connects to St. Mary’s Cathedral Church in Uruagu Nnewi.

State Government’s Vision for Development

According to Anambra’s Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, these projects align with Governor Soludo’s vision of transforming the state into a thriving hub where people can “live, invest, learn, work, relax, and enjoy.”

With ongoing infrastructural projects across the state, residents remain hopeful that Soludo’s administration will continue delivering on its promises.
